FINDING FREEDOM IN YOUR BREATH CLASS

HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT

From This Class

Learning about breathing is the simplest way of deeply nourishing yourself. This class
explores how your breath is a friend and a teacher. It explores the practice of yoga/somatics
as a moment-to-moment meditation.

We will explore the embodied anatomy of breathing and investigate practices that address:

  • The key role of the thoracic diaphragm.
  • The importance of abdominal breath.
  • How to access the lung volume at the back of your body.
  • How to activate your baroreceptors to turn on your parasympathetic nervous system.
  • How to free your spine to help your breathing muscles.
  • Fluid practices to release holding and tension in your body.

It is an invitation to feel nurtured, sustained, and vitally alive by tapping into your beautiful
breathing.

‘Breath is the fluid ground from which all movement emerges.’
