This graduate workshop takes a deeper dive into the effects of stress in your bodymind. We’ll explore what happens when speed gets trapped in your body, and how sensing is an embodied antidote to tension, overwhelm and exhaustion.

We’ll explore somatic solutions for stress including how stress lodges in your thoracic diaphragm, felts your fascia, increases your blood pressure, constricts your cranial bones, heats your brain and contracts your muscles.

Experience how coming to your senses leads to spontaneity, freedom, restfulness and joy. Cultivate interoception (inner sensing) through somatic awareness and proprioception through pandiculation. Come into own presence with compassion and curiosity, and touch the vast stillness beyond the self.

‘Our study of sensing is simply a study of consciousness.’

Charlotte Selver
