Breathing is a profound self-care practice. Learning about breathing is the simplest way of resourcing and sustaining prana and a relaxed way of being. We’re always breathing, yet like waves on a shore, each breath is unique.

This special summer school designed for teachers and experienced practitioners explores your breath as an inner teacher, drawing on the practices of somatic yoga as a moment-to-moment meditation.

Immerse yourself in community and the yoga of relationships including:

  • The key role of your thoracic diaphragm as a core breathing muscle
  • How stress, speed and tension lodge in your thoracic diaphragm and how to free your tissues
  • How to cultivate springy, resilient fascia through breathing.
  • How your relationship to the ground, gravity and space profoundly affects your ability to breathe
  • Therapeutic applications of breathwork that are healing, enlivening and nurturing

This is an invitation to feel nurtured, sustained, and vitally alive by tapping into your beautiful breathing, connecting with your body’s wisdom and transforming your yoga practice. Enjoy two days of embodied presence and enlivened being in the company of others.

We’ll explore somatic movement, somatic inquiry, asana, vinyasa and restorative practices.

Bring your togs! We’re right by the ocean.

‘Breath is the fluid ground from which all movement emerges.’
